The Argentine Network for Capacity Development in Integrated Water Resources Management (Arg Cap-Net) is made up of institutions engaged in capacity development to promote Integrated Water Resources Management (IWRM).
Its members are water management agencies; NGOs for the protection of water resources and the environment; basin organizations; drinking water and sanitation utilities; and universities and science and technology organizations engaged in human resources training, research and studies and projects for rational water use and environmental protection and conservation.
Arg Cap-Net is a member of the International Network for Capacity Development in Sustainable Water Management (Cap-Net) and of the Latin American Water Education and Training Network (LA-WETnet).
Ever since it was established, the Network has developed actions aimed at creating a new vision for managing water resources. Such actions include courses, workshops, and development of training materials.
The Network encourages member participation in national and international training activities for capacity building in IWRM.
Network activities focus on issues such as water and gender; water and education; water and communication; climate change and water resources; water supply and sanitation; economics for IWRM; basin management; flood management; drought management; groundwater management; tools for IWRM, etc.
MASTER’S PROGRAM IN INTEGRATED WATER RESOURCES MANAGEMENT
This inter-institutional postgraduate training program of tof the Universidad Nacional de Córdoba, Universidad Nacional de Cuyo and Universidad Nacional del Litoral was established at the initiative of Arg Cap-Net.
It is addressed to professionals from different disciplines with a view to promoting changes in water management based on the principles of IWRM.
